Frequently Asked Questions:

Why should I use TwitLik?
There are BILLIONS of websites on the World Wide Web and because of that, many website addresses have gotten incredibly long. Many of you have probably received emails or instant messages in the past that contained some of these LONG internet addresses. Due to the addresses being so long sometimes they break in the message and so when you click on them they don't work. TwitLik.com allows you to convert long endless internet addresses into new shorter ones that point to the exact same page but that are 20 characters or less long.

The best part is that the internet address is easy to write down on a sheet of paper since it's so short. The shorter url also provides less opportunity for error when writing down the url or typing the url in your browser.

So let's say you have the following url that you want to send to your friends.

http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=227987

With TwitLik you can enter the address above in our quick converter form and we will give you a shorter url that looks like this:

http://twitlik.com/swag

Now, which url would you like to write down or type in your browser's address bar? Go ahead, try our service out! We guarantee you will like it!

Will my URL ever get deleted?
We do not "just" delete urls from our system however if your url breaks our Terms of Use or is not used for more than 90 days we do remove the url from the network.

Can I count how many hits I have received since creation?
At this time we do not offer this service however. If you are interested in finding out how many hits your url has recieved please feel free to email us at support@twitlik.com. Please include your TwitLik url when requesting this information.

Will there be any advertisement shown on URL?
In the past we have not placed any advertisements on the urls however in order to keep the service running and to cover the costs involved in hosting more than 16,000+ urls we are going to be launching 'TwitLik Tuesdays' on Tuesday June 2nd, 2009.

TwitLik Tuesday is the only day of the week that your TwitLik url will contain any sort of advertisement. We really don't like advertisements as we are internet users just like you but we also hope you understand it costs money to offer services such as this. With that in mind we have decided to limit the advertisments to Tuesdays only and to keep them very very small at the top of the page. We are currently looking for a company sponsor that would allow us to remove the advertisements completely.

What if I see a TwitLik link used for spamming?
Just send us an email with the link and we will do the rest.
